The McCorkle Union!

This past weekend my step-sister-in-law, Carly got married! It was a beautiful ceremony and the reception was a blast! Carly and David are such a sweet couple and of course Carly was a beautiful bride!

Before the ceremony

Some of the decorations & the musician

Isn't the sunset gorgeous? And the bride too!

It had been raining really hard all day and I was so nervous that it wouldn't clear up, but in the end it cleared and I don't think it could have been any prettier.

After the wedding about to send off the bride & groom

We went and hung out at the after party and then headed home around 1:00. I was POOPED! On Sunday we stayed in bed all morning and then just lounged around the house the rest of the day! I seriously needed some rest and relaxation!
I'm really looking forward to the next family wedding! Michelle and Rod are getting married next July! Whoop!

Beckett's First Sucessful Playdate!

I've been a bad blogger lately... like I said on my last post Beckett had his first successful play date with a dog and didn't try to kill him! It was was my brother's new pup Ezekiel (aka Zek). Scott brought him over to my parents and we put him out in the backyard in his cage. After the we let them look at each other through the glass door for a few minutes we let Beckett outside while Zek was still in his cage. I was sure Beckett was about to go bizurk (SP?) on the cage, but he didn't!!! He just sniffed the cage and then walked away. So we figured it would be ok to let Zek out! We were right! YAY! They played for almost 2 hours straight! Beckett was so good with him, he wasn't too rough, and didn't try to bite or tackle him. I was such a proud Mommy!

They even shared!

Cute Zek!

Doesn't hurt that Pop Pop's (my daddy) was handing out steak!

This was pretty much the best picture I had of them playing, they were going so fast they were all blurs!

On the way home Beckett passed out upside down in the backseat! Ha! He was so tired!

We are supposed to have a play date with his foster Mom and foster brother on Saturday! I can't wait! I know he is going to be so excited to see them too!

Momma's Birthday

Monday was my sweet Momma's Birthday! Since Jer & I live a little over an a hour away we had to spend Sunday with her instead. We had a great day just hanging out spending time together! My brother and his new doggy, Zek also came over to play! I was very nervous  since Beckett doesn't do well with dogs, but it turned out great! Next blog I'll post pictures & a video of our dogs playing! I was a beyond ecstatic Mommy and so proud of my Beck's!

I made my mom a cake and decorated it too!

Our present to her was this crystal cake pedestal!

I was so happy she liked it and had a great day!

Happy Birthday Mommy! I love you so much and am so blessed to have you in my life!

Carly's Bachelorette Party!

Saturday was Carly's Bachelorette party! Ali & Cathy threw the party and they did a fantastic job! The required attire was a wig and a black dress! Well I didn't get my wig until about 2 hours before from Target. It was a dark red bob and looked really cute in the bag, but when I put it on I looked like a cracked out version of Pippy Longstocking... Definitely wasn't the look I was going for... So I ended up just wearing a little hair piece and it worked out just fine. I had a great time! Can't wait to see Carly get married, she's going to be a beautiful bride!

The Dog Ten Commandments

As many of you know, I'm absolutely obsessed and in love with my boxer boy, Beckett, but even I can get frustrated with him and forget to be patient. This was posted on Legacy Boxer Rescue's Facebook page and I just had to steal it. It is such a sweet reminder of the relationship between and dog and his person and how important you are to him! Love your dog and he will love unconditionally back!

The Dog Ten Commandments

1. My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be painful, remember that before you get me.

2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.

3. Place your trust in me- it is crucial to my well being.

4. Do not be angry at me for long, and do not lock me up as punishment.

5. You have your work, your entertainment, and your friends. I only have you.

6. Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don't understand your words, I understand your voice when it is speaking to me.

7. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget.

8. Remember before you hit me that I have teeth that could easily hurt you, but I choose not to bite you because I love you.

9. Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate, or lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I might not be getting the right food, or I have been out too long, or my heart is getting to old and weak.

10. Take care of me when I get old; you too will grow old. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say: "I cannot bear to watch" or "Let it happen in my absence." Everything is easier for me if you are there, even my death. Remember that I love you.

I love Fall!!

I finally cleaned my house this weekend after about two weeks! Thank the Lord! It was little embarrassing! When I finished I finally decided to pull out some of my fall decorations! I was so excited! I haven't finished yet, I only have what I had from last year for my apartment and it just isn't enough for the new house. I saw some really cute painted pumpkins that I want to try to replicate, I'll see if I actually get to them this weekend.

Some new fall towels I bought with my Momma and the lil pumpkin guy is from Jeremy's mom.

Table decorations!

The living room

Another pumpkin guy from Jeremy's mom

Jeremy has been going out of town for day trips several times of the past couple of weeks and every time he comes home he brings flowers! I've been loving all the beautiful fall colors he's been picking! He's such a sweetie!

This one has nothing to do with fall, but I just thought it was funny that Beckett was following me around while I took pictures. It's like he was looking for fall stuff too! I had slim pickins trying to find pics that didn't have him in them.

The front of the house. I can't wait to plant some fall flowers, the pink just doesn't go. I just cant bring myself to dig up perfectly good flowers.

Happy Fall Y'all!!!

Fair Fun!

This weekend after watching the Texas/OU game I went to the fair with these crazy folks!

Jeremy, Matt, Nicole, & Derrick!

I can't believe they convinced me to go, but one of my favorite bands was playing and I eventually gave in.

It's a miracle Nicole & I made it here! I got us lost in a really bad part of Dallas and then ended up having to park in a body shop parking lot and walk 3 blocks to get to the fair grounds after dark! If you know anything about the Fair Park area of Dallas, you know that it's pretty amazing we made it alive! We even got yelled at by a cop for walking around down there by ourselves....

After the concert we did a lil walkng around and tried out some of the crazy fair food.

Jeremy & Derrick tried fried beer. It just looks disgusting...

And this face pretty much says it all!

It went in the trash after one bite!

And on the way out my husband had to pose with the live demostration milking cow. And yes he's doing what you think he's doing. I married this man!
