Hair Stress!!!

I was complaining about my hair a couple of days ago... It was driving me insane. It's just not the same as it use to be... I swear the older I get, the crappier my hair gets. I use to be able to wash it and let it dry on it's own and it would be lovely. That stopped about 8 years ago, maybe I got too particular, who knows... I use to be able to grow it down to the middle of my back and it still looked healthy. Not so much anymore. It's dry, I have split ends now, the underneath side of my hair is turning into a crimped mess, and I swear it's a grease ball in about 12 hours after washing. I'm annoyed and so done with it! At least that's what I was thinking when I called to make a hair appointment with Colby (who apparently no longer works at that salon and moved to the Gold Coast or some crazy place!), the receptionist said he referred all his clients to Mag.

Seriously? Mag? I'm going to let some random dude named Mag cut my hair off? I was being totally irrational and said yes to an appointment this Saturday...

Now, don't get me wrong I still want my hair cut, but I'm FREAKING out! I get my hair cut maybe twice a year and I get crazy nervous when a stylist I do know is doing it. I'm a total control freak and I HATE getting my hair cut because I have no control.

Now I'm stressing because I have no one else to cut my hair and I really want it done. Colby wouldn't send all his clients off to some crappy stylist, right? The last recommendation I got from a friend was horrible and I almost didn't talk to her ever again for it, it was that bad! HA!

Don't know what to do...

I'm thinking I'm gonna go through with it and just bring lots of pictures while hoping and praying for the best...

Yes,I have a thought! Go to my guy, he's AMAZING. Let me just describe my hair trauma prior to using him. I cried EVERY SINGLE TIME I got my hair cut. Literally locked myself in my room once and refused to answer the phone or leave the house. I was a Sophomore in college. I HATED what people did. I'd tell them an inch and they'd take off 10. The layers would look hideous, the list goes on.

Well when I moved back to Dallas after Lubbock this girl I worked with recommended my guy because he was really good with long hair and layers (precisely what I was looking for). I made an appointment and I have never looked back. I refuse to let anyone else cut my hair. If he ever moved I don't know what I'd do.

So the one pitfall here, he is extremely pricey ... but to me it's my ONE ridiculous splurge because my hair is that important to me. I'd rather spend money then have the stress and anxiety and tears from some Bozo who messes it up.

He cuts the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders hair btw. So clearly he knows what he is doing and can make you look va-va-voom! I love that JSIMP look.

Cute style! The one thing I always try to consider when going with a different style is how easy the maintenance will be. I always want a style that I know I'll be able to do my own. Good luck and post pics of the new style! :)
