Weekend Recap

So other than my race, this weekend was extremely busy!

Friday, Jeremy picked me up at lunch time and we headed back to the house to pack. I convinced him I was in dire need of some chick-fil-a so he took me for a lil lunch. And let me tell you, I discovered the most amazing thing!! Dippable or squeezable ketchup packets! Why didn't I think of this? It absolutely made my day!

After lunch and packing we headed to my parents house to pick them up and head to Fort Worth. My goodness gracious!!! I am not sad I moved away from Fort Worth, the traffic is horrendous!!! It took over an hour to get where we were going and it should have only taken 30 minutes...

I got my race packet and walked around the running expo. I felt so athletic! Ha! A feeling this uncoordinated klutz has never felt before. I kept saying "I can't believe I have a race packet!", to which my parents and hubs would just laugh at me. We hit up one of my fav Mexican restaurants, La Familia, had a light supper and a marg (I couldn't resist) and then headed back to the parents to get a good nights rest!

Saturday after the race we spent the day at my parents, helped my mom cook and let the dogs play. They were exhausted after running for about 2 hours straight. Beckett had his followup appt with the vet and his leg is A-ok btw!

That evening we had a couple friends (Amanda & Ian) over and had pizza and drinks. Amanda brought over her new dog, Luna to play with Beckett. They were so cute together (so sad I didn't get any pictures), Beckett was soooo tired by the end of the evening I could barely get him off the couch. The night ended by 11, I was exhausted and passed out the second my head hit the pillow.

Sunday, Beckett let us sleep in until 9:30!! This is huge at our house! He is always up by 7:00 and bugging the heck out of me! I was so excited when I woke up and figured out what time it was. He truly is preparing us for children.

I felt like we had one of those stereotypical suburban adult days, we went to Lowe's and Target, had lunch with friends, went to a 4 year olds bday party, did yard work (I helped the hubs pick up dog poop.... ummmm.... grossest job in the world! Last time I will be participating in that chore), and then worked out. I was again exhausted...

At least I got to cuddle with this adorable little girl, Tinley Kay. She's our good friends, Tiffany & Chris', first baby. How presh is she?!?!

I started The Shred for real yesterday, like every single day for real. I even bought new heavier weights. I wrote down every day in my planner, which means it has to happen. I'm too OCD to scribble something out so it's a pretty good motivator to get it done!

Loves!

That's so funny that your pup wakes you up at 7:00! Our dogs much prefer to sleep in.

One of my cats, on the other hand, wakes me up at 5:40 every morning, without fail. Luckily, if I feed him then, he'll let me go back to bed.

Wow, you had a super busy weekend. I love those ketchup packets. Chicfila is giving away fries this friday from 2-4, you know where I'll be!

Tinley is adorable. Love her headband!

What is the Shred? Is that Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred?

That ketchup looks so cool. Chic-fil-a has grilled chicken sandwich is only like 290 cals. And there grilled spicey wrap is really good and not horrible if you get fruit with it.
