SUYL - Alma Mater

I love Kelly's link up today! It's Alma Maters!

I got my undergraduate degree from Harding University in Searcy, AR. It's a pretty conservative Christian school about 45 minutes north of Little Rock. As much as I complained about it at the time, I am so thankful that I was able to go to a school that reinforced moral behavior and based everything on Christian values. I credit Harding with the reason I am who I am today!

I met some amazing people while I was there.

And spent a lot of time in chapel with two of my best friends... Jenny & Teddy!

Went to London for a summer!

Learned from awesome faculty! And actually graduated with more than book smarts! I gained a love for the Lord I hadn't had before and that is most invaluable part of my college experience! My undergrad years definitely weren't typical and I wouldn't change that for anything!

I then decided to attend grad school and got into a great Health Care Administration program in San Antonio, TX, Trinity University!

I had soooooo much fun and did so much changing! I feel like I really grew up a lot my first year of grad school! I always joke that my first year of grad school was more like my freshman year than grad school because I went a lil crazy! Ha!

I was in a very small class of only 19. We pretty much spent every waking hour of the day together! Made for some very close friends and lots entertainment! I wouldn't have survived without them!

These girls are some of the most beautiful, amazing, smart women I have ever met! They are also a lot of FUN! We went to WAY too many theme parties!

These silly boys were a blast too! They definitely kept us girls on our toes!

And most importantly I met the man of my dreams and love of my life! This is the day we got engaged!

I got my Masters from an amazing HCAD program, completed my residency at an awesome children's hospital, gained lifelong friends, and married my best friend! I'd say it was well worth the private school tuition!!!

Link up with Kelly and tell us about your Alma Mater!

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! I have an extremely busy one ahead of me! Hopefully I'll remember to take pictures!

Loves!

Aww, I love the Harding Pics! I went to Harding University for a year (1995-1996) & loved every minute of it. I ended up coming home for financial reasons but still have wonderful friends I made during that one year at HU that are still friends today! Go Bisons!!

Found your blog from Kelly. I also went to Harding....many years ago. ha! I was there from 91-94. I have such wonderful memories and still keep in touch with so many friends from there. It's a great place that I don't think I fully appreciated until I had left.

Hi! I'm stopping by from Kelly's Korner! My friend's dad and mom (he's our old preacher) attended Harding. I've always heard such great things about it. Loved reading about your college experience and Alma Mater!
